	B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Rice University, 1981. Before originally joining NSAI in 1989, Carter held engineering, supervisory, and management positions at Exxon Company, U.S.A. Carter rejoined NSAI in 2007 after spending 2 years as managing director of a private drilling capital fund. He is experienced in all the major producing basins of the U.S. and selected areas of Africa and Mexico. His work includes integrated field and regional studies, reserve committee advisories, field development plans, due diligence reviews, and property evaluations for sales, acquisitions, and reporting to the SEC.
